The Flames offers children aged 6-18 the chance to participate in archery. We provide all of the equipment. There are no tryouts and nobody is cut - we take everyone, coach everyone, and play everyone. The Flames follows the safety guidelines and instructional methods of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP), the largest youth archery program in the nation. The Flames archery coaching staff includes NASP certified archery instructors and Flames teams are eligible to participate in NASP tournaments.
There are two archery seasons--fall and winter. The fall season runs from August through October and is open to homeschool children aged 6-18. The fall season focuses on honing fundamental shooting skills and developing a love for the sport. The winter season runs from November through March and is open to homeschool children aged 11-18. The winter season focuses on training middle school and high school competitive shooting teams. Generally, middle school is ages 11-13 and high school is ages 14-18. Flames will participate in local competitions and NASP tournaments.
